What next? Be Baptised

A BaptismSaul (later Paul) was told ”what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptised and wash your sins away, calling on his name.' (Acts 22:16)
Paul said “We were therefore buried with him (Christ Jesus) through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” (Rom 6:4).
Peter said, "Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38). Being immersed in the name of Jesus, gives rise to being immersed in the Holy Spirit.
In the CHBC baptism service, the person to be baptised would normally share something about their journey of faith and make a declaration of faith. Baptism takes place in the church’s baptistry which is filled with warm water to at least waist height. Usually one or two people assist the candidate to go backwards until they are under the water and help lift them back up again.
