October 2011: Being Called

I urge us all to live a life worthy of the calling you have received (Ephesians 4:1-16) to be a blessing to others (Genesis 12;1-4, 15:1-6), bringing peace, driving out evil spirits (Matthew 10:1-23) and giving release to the captives (Exodus 3:1-15).  May we have discernment as we listen directly (Isaiah 6:1-13) and indirectly (Acts 16:1-15) to his call, knowing that it is a call given to sinners to repent and, like Levi, to respond with feasting (Luke 5:27-32).
